The Ministry of the Environment in the Dominican Republic recently announced that the season will begin on January 15^th and will run until March 31^st for Samana Bay and until April 15^th for the Banco de la Plata. This year’s season is called “ A dance that perpetuates the species” and adequately describes the graceful acrobatics of the whales in the water.

Representatives from the Ministry of Tourism; the Navy; Santa Barbara de Samana; Center for the Conservation and Eco-Development of the Bay of Samaná and its Environment among others added their signatures to the document.
