The Underwater Explorers Society (UNEXSO) recently launched a new glass bottom boat tour to the world-famous Shark Junction in the Bahamas. Although this wildlife tour may appear to be an experience for thrill seekers and adventurers, it can be enjoyed by people of all ages. One of the major benefits of this tour is that you can get close to wildlife without being too close to wildlife.
The Shark Junction Tour
When you arrive at UNEXSO for the Shark Junction tour, you will check in and board the glass bottom boat. The tour begins with a safety briefing that shares guidelines and what you can expect on the tour. Because this is a wildlife tour, there is always the possibility that you may not see sharks because of migration and mating.
There are three sites on the schedule – a barrier reed with corals and marine life; Fish Farm, a reef with coral, fish and turtles; and Shark Junction, a signature dive site with sharks, eels, stingrays and groupers. Shark Junction is one of most popular diving spots in the Bahamas with an approximate depth of 60 feet or 18 meters. The highlight for guests on the UNEXSO tour is the Caribbean Reef shark. This species of shark is one of the largest predators in the reef. And, because you are in a glass bottom boat, you can look at them without any fear.
