The Abaco Beach Resort, one of Bahamas’ stellar resorts, is back in operation. Located in the historic Marsh Harbour in Abaco, the resort is now open after an extensive renovation and expansion. The reopening of the resort is excellent news for the Abaco Islands which were hard hit by Hurricane Dorian in 2019.
The renovated resort has enhanced its guest amenities, activities and dining experiences. For example, rooms with private balconies, Wi-Fi and cable television are now fresh, with airy and light décor and custom furnishings. There were also upgrades to Boat Harbour, the resort’s marina. There was additional work and rebuilding on the two hundred (200) slips. . Additionally, there is a new pedestal with water and cable. The helipad also received upgrades. The resort’s private beach has also been expanded and new water sports have been added.
An appreciation for Bahamas’ natural beauty is evident in the design of common areas of the resort. For instance, the Great Room offers a panoramic ocean view; the Bistro and Pool Bar and Terrace allow for unobstructed vies of the ocean, marina and neighbouring cays. Additionally, the Marquee has views of the marina and Below Decks overlooks the garden pool and the Sea of Abaco.
