A new airline is coming to Barbados and Jamaica. Norse Atlantic Airways, a long-haul airline, will operate daily flights to the Caribbean in the upcoming 2023 winter season. This new service provides another option for travellers from the United Kingdom to the Caribbean.
The Barbados service will start on 29 October 2023 with daily flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to Barbados (BGI). Fares will start at GBP 449 for a return ticket. The Jamaica service also starts on 29 October 2023. There will be four flights a week from London Gatwick (LGW) to Montego Bay (MBJ). There will also be three flights a week from London Gatwick (LGW) to Kingston (KIN). Fares for Jamaica start at GBP 579 for a return ticket.
Booking.comCEO and founder of the airline, Bjore Tore Larsen revealed that “demand for transatlantic travel is strong.” The winter season is a popular travel season for travellers to the Caribbean. With Norse on board, there is increased seat capacity to the region. Travellers can fly into Barbados or Jamaica and then connect to other islands in the region. Norse will add to the winter flight schedules offered by Virgin, British Airways, TUI, Condor, Aer Lingus, EuroWings and KLM.
