One of the recent deals resulted in the assumed management of hotels and resorts in the United States, Caribbean and Latin America owned by Trust Hospitality. The acquisition of these properties in this deal, enhances Highgate’s global presence and adds 22 properties and 3,100 rooms to the company’s assets. In another recent deal, the company entered into an agreement with Colony Capital Inc., to acquire six of its portfolios. The portfolios consist of over 22,000 rooms across 197 global properties. This also increases Highgate’s presence in the Caribbean.
