Two beaches in Anguilla have won top ten awards in the 2024 USA Today’s Reader’s Choice Awards. Meads Bay Beach and Shoal Bay Beach won 6th and 8th place respectively in the competition which recognises the world’s best beaches.
Anguilla’s Minister of Tourism, Hon. Haydn Hughes, praised the accomplishment, stating, “This accolade underscores the unparalleled beauty of our beaches. Anguilla’s pristine beaches are not just spectacular, but are experiences that inspire and captivate all those who visit.”
He went on, “We invite the world to come and share in the distinctive and unforgettable experiences that Anguilla has to offer.” The minister also spoke to the island’s diverse experiences which appeal to a range of visitors. These experiences include “exquisite cuisine, world-class golf, top-tier tennis facilities, diving adventures, offshore cays, and luxurious spas”. These experiences are “all infused with the warmth of our hospitality that makes Anguilla an unparalleled destination.’’
